Open Close

The idea of this chair is based on the theme of architecture, in particular, how to use lines to create positive and negative spaces. When the user sits on the chair, the arc wraps around the user to provide a personal space within an open area. Continuity is very important to my design, the same shape loops to create the seat for lounge, arches upward to create personal space and folds downward to support the chair. The whole chair is covered by leather and the stitching is clearly visible to show the handcrafted quality and attention to detail.
